Das Notenblatt enthält Sologesangstimme und bezifferten Generalbass. Es ist überliefert im sog. "Pleasure-Gardens-Konvolut", einer Sammlung von überwiegend gedruckten Notenblättern, wie sie in den Londoner Vergnügungsparks in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts verwendet wurden.
Die in dieser Kantate erzählte Geschichte wird fortgesetzt in der Kanate "The lamp-lighter" (VIa 070,008 -T, siehe Link unten).
