It's time: After a three-year break, the Leipzig Book Fair is happening again in 2023 – Get acquainted, meet, trade – in person!

The Leipzig Book Fair is the largest public book fair in Germany and the most important spring get-together for the book and media industry. It presents new releases, current topics and trends and shows both recent German-language literature as well as what's new from Central and Eastern Europe. Austria will be the guest country at the 2023 Leipzig Book Fair.

What can you expect from us? We'll showcase what we have the most of: Culture and digital, virtual exhibitions and cultural topics. We'll present our new topic files and explain how you can best find what you're looking for in the approximately 45 million digital objects that over 700 data partners make available to us. Our main portal will be at the centre of this, but so will our subportal: The Deutsche Zeitungsportal (German Newspaper Portal) provides historical newspapers from more than four centuries, most of which can be read directly. The portal Sammlungsgut aus Kolonialen Kontexten (Collections from Colonialism) makes collections taken from the colonial period that are already digitised and indexed available online. And Archive Portal D provides special information for researching the archives.

We are looking forward to Leipzig and are on location with colleagues from Berlin, Dresden We look forward to seeing you!
